Me and the rest of my team will still be there but my insurance brokers have told me I'm the only one who can drive my x5 and the m3  after 10 years of being with them
So will be up in 1 car with the team so will have limited space in the boot for equipment
I dont know how I'm going to bring both cars to the shows I'm doing this year

None of them have their own fully comp insurance? If so, usually covered third party with your permission to drive.

We have fully comp insurance to drive any vehicles
they have told me I'm the only one to drive my own cars the x5 and m3

As we are coming up there and tuning cars it would be classed as business use and I like to stay above board

Sanj and I'm sure a couple of others are heading up from that way. Can always arrange a meeting point at services on the M40 or something.

Yes - myself, Jig and Imy at least, plus the Chiptune crew.

And he's hoping to bring his kit to map cars.

always read the small print - it's increasingly common that you're covered with respect to 3rd parties only in the event of an emergency.  Jason's mate borrowing his car to take someone to hospital - probably covered; Jason's mate borrowing the X in order to re-map Westside's X6 - only an emergency in Westside's book and therefore no cover.

Agreed and very valid point. If pulled by the BIB, and the driver found not to be insured = points, vehicle impounded and I think I'm right in saying that the owner would also get points for letting his vehicle be driven and not checking that it was insured correctly by the driver?

No intention to offend Sanj - just giving the other side of the coin. Sorry to steer things off topic.  Back to the meet plans....

Don't worry buddy, I'm sure Sanj isn't offended..... ;) :))

Seriously though it's good to have different perspectives.

In all my years of driving my fully comp insurance has always covered me (only third party of course but legal to then drive at least) to drive others cars provided I have their permission. Just thought it might be an option to enable Jason to get both motors up to the meet as I've heard good things about the M3.
