Definitely worth the investment.  Anyone else finding the water feels almost 'soapy'?  Definitely an excellent 'Group Buy'.. :ok: :bigthanx:

I know my resin won't last as long up here, but just not having to chase off the water spots even in strong sunlight makes such a difference..... :D

At 550ppm from the tap your water is almost nuclear and you'll go through resin quicker than you can say 'water stain' ;)

Don't worry, I'll see what we can sort out.

Anyone know what the TDS reading is that waterspots will start to appear again?

In my case - 10 mins after it's first used.... :P :P

My rain water supply is about 40ppm and that doesn't 'spot' but then I'm not going to hazard a guess as to what the TDS is reading..... :'(

LOL.

Out of interest, what sort of ppm reading does yours tend to be when you have to replace the resin?

Not replaced it yet !!! It is supposed to last at least 12 months, what is your water reading from the tap again?

Need to check again. Think it was something like 300ppm.

It could well have been water from the jetwash drying unusually quickly but me thinks not.

Am just waiting on a call back from Doug to hopefully shed some light.

Yours is twice as much as mine though, so pretty hard.

I have been washing so many cars a week every week and still is all ok on my side though.

A bit concerned regarding the reading I'm getting from the vessel already, water going in is 260ppm water out is 93ppm, and I've only done about 6 washes, can this be right.
The water butt is reading about 15ppm, but don't want to use that yet as I haven't sorted a filter system for it.

I made my water butt filter like so.....

One of these Karcher in-line filter units (fits all newer machines) and I adapted it by adding a Hozelock 2289 Adapter on the other end.

and voila.....Image

Provides a super fine mesh filter that goes in line between the water butt pump and DI Vessel.  I also use this stuff to keep the water cleaner.

Had a tap start leaking on the water butt a couple of weeks back and used the pump to empty it into a kiddies sandpit/paddling pool toy, washed the butt out, changed the tap and pumped the clean water back in again.  Well happy with the whole system.... :ok:

With our mains water being at a TDS of 500+ I don't have an option, or I'll be changing the resin every month or so.  I also drain the DIV after every use.....no idea if that makes a difference to the resin's longevity or not?

Brilliant, will order today, Thanx.
Still a bit concerned about the length of time the resin has taken to become partially innactive.
