I bought mine from an independent dealer.

But looking around there is some cheaper but further to travel and also i got £1500 more from that dealer than any other for my last car.

It is in really good condition and i just enjoy driving it so the fun factor is enough for me.  Its my first BMW and X5.  Only thing is the suspension sensor has gone i think and throwing up fault on the dash so thats going to get sorted soon.

Yeah it's all about what deal you get doug, I travelled the length of England and Wales for mine and saw a lot of rubbish. Fingers crossed mechanically mines good just needed a bit of tlc as the last owner used it as the family work horse. My first bmw too, so hope they are good for us both, my friend already has me lined up for his E70 X5 in a couple of years :)

Sounds like you have the same sort of plan as me.

Seen the pic of your car looks good.  Great colour.  My wife wanted a black one but when she heard it was "exclusive" and she drove it, she loved it.

I'm looking to get mine remapped next month.  You got any plans like that for yours?

My wife wanted grey and initially that would have been my choice but I love the blue. Well firstly I'm gonna get the alloys refurbed, they're not bad but would like them done. Then I have to decide what to do with the lower tail gate as it's showing rust inside. Don't need to do anything straight away but I contacted bmw who apparently checked it and said it's had a spray by the paint thickness but can't see by looking at it so that will probably invalidate the warranty :( got a couple of other little daft things like the wood door trim where the lacquer is showing signs of cracking. So really a remap is sort of bottom of he list at the moment but there is someone in here who does the remaps but it down south!! So a bloody trek for you and me!! If you get it done let me know where and if you think it's worth the coin and I might go for it

I seen your thread on the tail gate and i'll be checking mine when i get home.  Hope yo get some good news from BMW.  Im quite lucky as my wheels are in really good condition.  Just looking to touch up the leather a bit and the dealer i bought it from is replacing the windscreen as it was all chipped when i bought it.

I will let you know where i get it remapped and what like it is.
