I've heard bad reports about them everywhere tbh

Anybody seen any winter tyres in the E70 20" sizes?

Pirelli Ice & Snow do the 20's but they are only 275 wide.

The US has Toyo Open Country G-02 Plus and they come in the 275 and the 315 widths on the 20's... would be perfect if we could get them here but I emailed Toyo and they said that they don't meet EU regs.

Turks.

What are the bad reports you heard and what in particular do they relate to? Thus far the Pirelli Snow & Ice tyres have peformed great.

I have used Mytyres ( delticom ) several times. Never had any issues and I have found them to be the cheapest around. Delivery takes about a week as they have to come from europe. I always ring them up and check that what I want is in stock .

As for supply problems, you all have to be aware that in europe, it is mandatory ( law ) to have winter tyres. The UK has never been a large taker of winter tyres. All of a sudden we get snow and everyone wants winter tyres. Until this year , most people in this country hadnt heard of winter tyres. Uk tyre suppliers dont stock them , because in the past they would have sat on the shelves for years , unsold. Its not rocket sience. Its supply and demand and as demans suddenly rises the manufacturers cant instantly come up with stock of winter tyres, especially as most of the supply has been pre sold to europe. In fact I tried to order winter tyres back in september and couldnt get any from anyone in the UK. I got my Vrdensteins from delticom and they were very reasonably priced. I used Delticon because they are based in Europe and had a good supply unlike anyone anywhere else . Right now, with the current climatic conditions you have little or no chance of getting winter tyres. To those asking do they make a difference ?
Like you wouldnt believe.
I tell you what else i recon ......................everyone will buy winter tyres and next winter will be the warmest on record .

Regards

Nat.
