Excellent. Congratulations, now have fun trying to keep your licence.
Please keep up the posts on this. I am thinking about getting one, but read a few bad postst regarding gearbox horror stories. I would love to know how you get on with it and what you think.
As fast as a 911 turbo for half the money.
Regards,
Nat.

Here we go again...................
I would take the GT-R every timer over any 911.
Just in MY opinion, I think 911's are the most underwhelming car I have driven ( and yes I have driven a few and on track as well as road ).
Don't get me wrong, for quality & as an every day super car you could't beat them. However I think they are slow/understeer and I just don't like them. Why does everyone make such a fuss about them I have no idea. I drove 911/350z back to back at bedford autodrome, and I would take the nissan every time.
Think it was 2 months back , it was evo did the 911 turbo vs GT-R................they concluded GT-R takes it.
Hence my interest.
Anyway each to their own, Keep me posted please, because I like it and I am just slightly jealous....!!
Regards,
Nat.

535dboy is just trying to wind you up. Ignore him. It doesn't fit with his view of the world and therefore he has to rubbish it.

Anil,
I am genuinely pleased & delighted for you mate.
Your car appears to be a very lovely example, beautifully presented & nicely photographed too.
I suspect the early Nissan seed was sub-consciously sewn some 10 years ago when you left your mark at a certain meet you attended & when we both had RX-8's
The only negative observation I have is that you didn't call so that I could personally congratulate you.
I am working evenings this week but hope we can speak & catch up soon

Good man
Dad , Aka x5sport, gets over protective sometimes.
They are awesome bits of kit no doubt but fragile and lacking a little for the ultimate driver hence all of my friends that have had them all changed them to Porsches (gt3s or gt2s)

I test drove a 997 Turbo (manual), DB9, XKR and M6.
None made me smile more than the GTR. That's my measure and I love it's road presence.

Yes and I bet your mates are well glad they bought GT3s!!!
They come with 3 years RAC cover and the local Fire Station Commander's mobile number!
