Thanks Raj
I have not soldered anything since school! Should be interesting.... I don't suppose you have a link to a guide?

Soldering is straight forward but otherwise just use scotch locks but make sure you reveal bare wire for the scotch lock to grip onto.

You can see the green (positive) and 2 black wires (negatives so doesn't matter which you tap into).

MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT CONNECTION OFF THE CAPACITOR (as in positive side and negative) otherwise it will get hot and go pop.
Oh and I'm a lot better at soldering than Sanj...

Re: Flickering aftermarket LED brake lights with error on dash
As long as it can heat the wires it'll be fine. If you're talking about their 40W kit that should do the job. The smaller ones struggle to get everything hot enough. And a bit of heat shrink sleeping to make a neater and damp proof job too.....

THIS is the one I have and it is superb. Best soldering iron I have owned personally.

Re: Flickering aftermarket LED brake lights with error on dash
I know this is a very old topic now but I’m finally getting round to sorting out the flicker on my rear lights due to the aftermarket rear clusters I fitted an age ago.
I can’t see the pics on this thread any more. Does any one have them and/or a guide for this I could use?
