Yeah +1 on that. 2 weeks my cheap eBay part lasted before the metal snapped off. Just replaced with BMW oem part so hopefully should las longer. Don't want to do that job for a third time!

I've just finished replacing my carrier. I now find that the drivers side door will not lock nor unlock with the key bottons remotely. Have I forgotten to reconnect something?

try the connectors where the mirror switches are...

Reconnection was loose as above.
All sorted now.
