Wow - any chance you can take it to an Indy now, rather than pay BMW $tealer prices - as you are armed with the parts that need work on?

I upgraded my fronts for JBL components, Jeegnesh went a bit mad and did the BSW upgrades in the dash (nearest the windscreen) - mad price for two tiny speakers!?! I left the rear doors alone and just added an external amp to the focal sub in the custom enclosure.

I had a bit of a headstart with the hi-fi speaker upgrade which comes with the HK amp OEM.

HTHs and good luck with the repairs whichever way you go.

Going with BMW as I don't want to affect the warranty. It's under the approved BMW scheme and hence I would be worried if
Parts were changed outwith the BMW network. Problem is parts are expensive + the alignment. Labour is obiously not cheap at BMW but even at an indy it would still be quite expensive and possible warranty issues.

I am a fan of using indies I use them with my porsche 911. I could easily do the work myself (besides alignment) but it's -10 here at the moment! And ice everywhere.

+ the car is undrivable at the moment as the wheel is rubbing on the inner wheel box. I am so surprised how easily this happened and the amount of damage. To be honest I think the shocker and wishbone are probably ok but why risk it. If I used an indie I would have to get the car there and would need to pay for a trailer

It's just a nightmare!

Sure is a nightmare mate, and just before Christmas too :headbang:

And I thought replacing the MAF on the E46 was expensive. :fuelfire:

Tim, Going to a VAT registered Indy will not affect your Warranty... don't waste your money at the dealers!
