Yeah it seems fine but its the voltage regulator I have reads of problems.
Have ordered a steering sensor from stealership ! so will update once I have fitted it

apologies for reopening an old thread.  Was there any conclusion on the heated seats?

I have the exact same problem now!  Press the switch, lights up for approx 1 second, then goes out.

UPDATE: Looked back through this thread.  Spotted X5sport instructed to check fuses.  Sure enough, #53 (25a) was blown.  Replaced and both seats now seem to be working again.

Let's hope it stays that way and the root cause is nothing more serious.  Fingers crossed.
