Just dont mention the war..... >:D

I had the plug n play kit form PF Jones with my Witter and added the missing few myself.
best of both worlds then
Sorts out the interface with the car & bulb failure etc and has my version of double split charge and caravan supplies...
(I have a second battery in the car on split charge (in rhs cubby hole) which is normally set to supply the caravan rather than come off the cars battery, but have a bypass switch to allow use of car battery in exceptional circumstances...)

i have a 100 amp lithium battery on the caravan and dont really need to charge it on the move but would be nice to

how big of a battery do you have in the the cubby hole

got a 75Ah in the cubby, and a 95Ah in the caravan

All of which is academic really as we have only gone to sites with electric hook up with this van so far!!

but used to go to ones that didn't with the old van, so kept the functionality just in case...

Decided to fit 40W solar panel for charging through winter whilst in storage, but need to tweak that a bit as it is not in the most efficient place at mo..

its the apposite for us showing the dogs we generally end up in a field some where so with the lithium battery its the equivalent to 200 amp lead acid and that will last us 5 to 7 days little more if we are light on the tv etc

Just heard  bmw don't do a wiring kit for the f15 as it's only a uk thing it's not a priority at the moment

Not happy  >:(

See if the dealer can get the right pins and then wire it into the car.  It's what my Dealer is doing.  They ordered the pins and know where to terminate the new wires.

Not sure if my dealer is up to the job spoke to a friend in another dealership and got the same answer he wouldn't be prepared to attempt it on a £60 k car .

not impressed

Find another dealer.....Mine was £65k and they didn't bat an eyelid.

The pick up points are in the car so any sparky worth his/her training and with a wiring diagram should be able to do it.

Perhaps BMW have warned them off  ;)

Whatever the situation, BMW really should have made it clear in the sales documentation that the 13-pin wiring isn't complete.....as they should have done on my X6 and tother half's Mini. >:(
