Pressures were bang on the nose Simon , so I guess it maybe me just not used to them yet .
Either that or maybe these Vredesteins haven't got as strong sidewall as the previous Yokos .

I have these on my X5, 255 front and 285 rear on 19 inch wheels.  Went through last winter without a moments hesitation.  Thoroughly recommended.  An added bonus is that they transform the ride when compared to my Conti summer tyres (runflats).  My wife has Wintrac Extremes on her Audi TT Quattro and they are just as good in the snow.  The only problem she had a couple of winters ago was that the snow was so deep, her car ended up with the floor pan sitting on top of the snow at one point.

I had Nokian winters on my previous E60 and E61 and they were good too, especially considering the cars were RWD.

Hi,

Winter tyres are " softer " than normal tyres . They have a much higher silica content which does not go hard when the temperature drops.
Thus they will feel " softer " than a normal tyre .
Thats their nature.......they have more give in them.
Keep to nornal pressures , they will be just fine.
