I find it works just fine after being left for a few mins, gently agitated and then washed off with a pressure washer.... I don't dilute it.

I will do the same. Just washed the car and it did not touch the brake dust. Just made it a slightly lighter colour of black. I had to do a lot of manual sponge work to get all the dirt off.
Undiluted next batch it will be to see what that does.

I always thought it was really good when I used to use it and mine were covered in brake dust in just one week

PMSL. It'll be fine for your rims. I'm using it on polished dished rims no probs.

For real baked on brake dust that is the best way (undiluted) and you can leave it on for a while before jet washing off as its safe in that respect.

Getting my 20's stripped and painted in gangster black.
Polished alloy is a nightmare.

I'd be interested to see any photographs of the 20in wheels painted in a different colour, especially if the car is Carbon Black. I'm not there yet, but I'd imagine the day will come and when it does I'm undecided what route I'll take.

How long is the corrosion warranty on the E70 wheels??

I'm guessing non existent outside of warranty, really disappointing! But given BMW have suffered darker days with the well documented issues a few years back with 19in wheels cracking I can't see a little corrosion registering too high on their agenda!

Used to run a detailing firm and cleaned wheels on cars from golfs to Ferrari, lambo etc and only ever used Bilberry or P21s. They were the only two products I knew wouldn't cause problems on mirrored finishes. Any other product is likely to be caustic which is good at cleaning, but very harsh.
