Well she's been sold now :'(
It was an absolutely fantastic car and I will miss it like mad. Accepted 5700 cash off a local trader.

I'll be emptying the garage so if anyone interested in any of the following, please feel free to make a good offer.

X5 rubber car mats in excellent condition.
Bmw roof bars and roof/ ski box - will separate.
Intravee and Alpine interface
Y spoke 20" E70 alloys with excellent tyres.
Le mans alloys 20" with mud & snow tyres.
Plastic boot floor tray in very good condition.

Buying new suits some people though - me for a start.  I can, and generally do, rag the nuts off it for a couple of years, with anything failing during that time covered under warranty.  I'd hate to buy one of my old cars!  Residuals with a year's manufacturer warranty left are pretty good actually (used to change every 3 years, now 2 - or less: X6 40d 22 months old, X6 M50d <ahem> 8 months old).  Combine that with a decent new car discount and it's fine by me.  I just don't fancy being the one who has to change cam belts or ECUs or get an aftermarket policy and have to fight for every aspect of the bill.  Not worth it IMO.  Plus those servicing the car themselves are probably the same people who would never touch a used car which someone else had serviced themselves.
Oh, and already lined up very short list (of 1) replacement for the Aston.  Probably wait until April or May to order though (good months for deals).  And no, I'm not telling you what it is yet :-)  535d goon will probably guess.
