Probably unlikely to get anywhere on a misrepresentation or breach of contract claim (unless you made it very clear that BHP was an important issue - I suspect it wasn't, whereas towing weights could be fundamental for example).

I am sure you will express your disappointment to the dealership in an appropriate manner and fingers crossed they will find a suitable goodwill gesture (discounts on next service/winter tyres etc) which cost them very little but keep you happy.

When I ordered my E60, it turned up 2 days later than expected (having sold my previous car in anticipation).  I was given a 320 for a couple of days and offered a free valet on the car.  I pointed out that the valet would be unnecessary (the car being new), so they fitted an ipod connector, saving me £350.  Don't ask, don't get.

Yip, can but try.  BMW salesman who sold us both our cars has been fantastic, not sure me moaning about BHP will make a difference.  Wanted a Porsche Cayanne but partner reckoned that was too posh for the drive :'(

But i am indeed very happy that i have this now.  Only thing i need is an upgraded sat nav and ipod dock and hopefully be long relationship....... ;)
