Change to delay before final PXA volume setting.
Changed "HD-R" text to "HD Radio"
Fixed bug with Speed Adjustment
Added Diesel specific Over Rev/Temperature map.
Change to volume reduction on reverse for PXA processors to prevent DSP initialisation from the radio cancelling it too soon.

waw! richard is on the mission

btw i tested the over temp warning by setting the warning to 80c.

i have no issue with the car over heating, but because the temp meter is so ignored on the dash, plus bmw 'muffles' the meter so that it most often appears around the  centre, in the event the car does overheat one day, i've always had the worry in the back of my mind that there is little chance of it being noticed before the engine gets toasted.

so i set the warning at 80 last week, have been driving around, nothing happened, forgot about it.

just today morning i got a msg 'ENGINE OVERHEATING' screaming at me in caps in the dash (after stopping at a shop and when i restarted) . looked at the temp meter it was dead centre, as always.. got very nervous and watched the needle like a hawk for a while, then remembered the warning i had set  :P

checked in the obc display and the coolant temp had gone up to 82c max and was running  at 79c!

fantastic feature

not sure if this feature was always there  :-[ , i think the vehicle info menu option was always there, i only searched around this time after the upgrade.

I know right such a great device!! One of the best mods I've bought for the X! Things can only get better too if Richard keeps releasing updates with more features :)

In 6.02-7041 light control is not enabled for the Pre Facelift X5.  If anyone has a Pre-Facelift X5 could they TEMPORARILY switch the vehicle type to Facelift X5 and check the lights, ideally each light individually on either Entry or Exit.  When done make sure you set the vehicle type back.  Let me know what works and, if anything, what does not.

Also,  I've had reports that the tail light control does not work on the X5.  The X5 has two sets of lights I believe, could someone check to see if any of the tail lights come on with the Entry or Exit lights.

For the facelift (mine is 2004) neither the L Bk. Side or R Bk. Side light on either entry or exit. I am using my brake lights at the moment.

Just add that I appreciate the work that goes into this. Often a thankless task :)

Also got a facelift 2005, L Bk. Side and  R Bk. Side light on either entry or exit do not work .

As above , thank you for the time and effort you put into this .

Try this firmware (hope the link works).

Should enable the lights on pre facelift X5's and at least the top tail lights on post facelifts.

Just tried firmware - V6.02-7044 and can confirm L Bk. Side and  R Bk. Side lights are now working on
entry and exit.

Not entirely sure if  L Fr. Side and R Fr. Side were on previous firmwares but they are on V6.02-7044 also working fine .

Thank you Richard for your continued support, your help with these devices is very much appreciated.

Do both upper and lower rear lights work, or just the upper ones?

Its just the top section of the rear light that come on with this firmware.

/Paul

One (possibly silly question) - Is it possible to only have these lights come on if its dark? I'm sure the intravee shows the status of the light sensor somewhere. No big deal but for me would be the finishing touch.

Just messing about and noticed that if you select the parking light (where you use the indicator to light one side) this also only lights the top section of the rear side lights so its working in the same way as the parking light.

Not sure why it's not illuminating both top and bottom lights.  It might be possible to send some iBus query commands to the LCM with the side lights on and off to see which I/O bits are sent.  It's probably not too important, just one of those "I wonder why that does not work" little problems.

Richard, any chance of getting the Auto Close to work on the facelift?

It still doesn't work..
