Ok here's the update.
The squeak was eventually traced to the large bolt that connects through the lower wish bone behind the rear wheel carrier.
It was squeaking inside the carrier as the wishbone flexed up and down, plenty of WD 40 later and no more squeak.....
I've now got a complete lower wishbone for sale if anyone is intereste?

Good for having it resolved!
However, another extremely weird cause of suspension noise, which i find unbelievable, and which causes horrible squeaky noises is from the lights leveling clasp on the upper suspension arm. I've replaced almost all the front suspension on behalf of that wretched noise and the culprit was the clasp which had fixed itself from the dirt firmly on the upper arm. Spent about 300 pounds and all there was to it was a little W D 40 to lube it up.
Just a quick hint not to do what i did....
