The guy I use in parkend is steve Pritchard, he's on the road out of parkend towards mallards pike, he's a one man band most of the time, but sometimes has a helping hand for the bigger jobs.
Just pop in for a chat next time you're over that way, you'll see why I use him.
As for the headlights, factory fit xenons will self level when switched on, and yes, the lense will be different.

On your light panel do you have a height level adjuster? If not then you have HIDs as they auto-level as above. Xenons have a clear blue/white light and take several seconds to warm up.

:-[ don't know just yet as did not notice when looked on Friday but don't collect till next sat so wont be able to check antill then

I tried to look at the colour but was really sunny so couldn't tell) but actually while I think about it there might have been an adjuster by the light switch.
Thanks
Tim

Hi and welcome to the forum
If it has factory fitted xenon s it will have no height adjusting wheel at the side of the headlight switch on the dash, also when you lift the bonnet there should be " warning high voltage stickers on the front panel facing you.
Don't be worried if its got the Halogen lights, they are useless but are easily upgradable to 55w HIDS with an aftermarket kit from EBay, that will surpass the factory Xenons.
Edit. Derrrrr, I hit the reply button on the bottom of page one, didn't see the page 2!
I've never noticed that before.

If it's only one then that will be the instrument cluster brightness. If two then unlikely there will be Xenon HIDs OEM, but as said it's a straightforward upgrade done regularly on here.
This is a HID panel (with auto lights too). Non-HID has a second adjuster at top right beside the left one, but with numbers on it for adjusting the headlight height on non-HID.

Thanks x5sport as they say a pic says a thousand words. I looked at a few on Friday so cannot be sure but think it hade the second adjuster so yeah prob be going for an upgrade, just out of interest we are planning a drive to Italy in the summer I shouldn't have any issues with a hid upgrade should I, haven't driven in Europe before and don't want to attract any undue attention
From reading on here it seems a 50/55 watt 4300k set is the sweet spot but will deffo want p&p. had a look on eBay and it seems to be a bit of a mine field anybody suggest a good 1, while I am at it I fancy doin the sides and ae's as well but like I said being a eBay virgin seems like a mine field.
Thanks.
Tim
