Right folks, new house has a rather large lawn so need some lawnmower advice. I currently have the smallest self propelled Honda IZY but just doesn't have the width needed - only 13"!!!!
Looking for a 20-24" cutting width I reckon. Anyone got any recommendations? I do like my current Honda but the prices for the equivalent in the size I need can be >£1k. Only stipulation is that its self propelled. Not bothered about roller. See garden below - front is similar size.

I have three Hayters at the moment and they are all excellent. They very in age from 15 years to 3 years old and just start and run. I change the oil every couple of years and have had no issues.
The Hayter ride on is cheap and basic (about 1500 from memory - has belts instead of a gearbox), but it replaced a £5k unit with hydraulic gearbox that failed after 5 years making the machine useless (sold it for £800 for scrap really).

+1 Honda but might be over budget, I picked up one second hand dirt cheap and gave it in for service and check, been perfect ever since and makes the job so so easy even for a lazy arse like me.
