I've just thrown a capacitor on the passenger side HID (one I had left over from an ill fated 55w HID experience) and threw on the lights. I'd have put one on both sides but I blew one up (cue smoke, fizzing and paper spitting everywhere) mucking about.


I didn't get any faults coming up but then again it is warm and I drove home 30 miles.

Tommorows cold start will see if it's got rid of the problem

No problems today....maybe the Capacitor in line with the passenger ballast sorted it....hmmm

mine hasn't showed the error message either today. it must be the sensor i think.

Thought I was starting with a problem too. My error also comes on when I switch the hids on. It didn't do it with 35w but have just changed to 55w. After a stop start it clears. Done it about 4 times over a 3 week period. In for a service next week so any serious problem should show up I hope.

keep us posted on this one. Without doing a battery test I can say my battery seems well fine as i've stopped and started many times today. I tried to get the car to behave though with a 55w kit but the damn thing refused to stop flickering despite putting capacitors, resistors and a relay on them. Reverted to a canbus pro 35w kit without issues until recently when the susp inactive stared to appear when I flicked the HIDS on. At the start it wasn't right away but the other day whilst (deliberately) running on AEs on the mtorway I flicked on the HIDS. I'd done 15 miles by then and within seconds the susp indicator came on....damn

anyways as above i've thrown a capacitor at it and the problem so far hasn't re-appeared.....and i got 37 mpg doing 17 miles motorway and 7 miles slow manchester traffic. Computer indicated but what the heck, better than the average 29 mpg indicated

mpg not related but I was well chuffed even if i did 60mph...which seems like the sweet spot

I've had this error message intermittently for about the last 5 years or so, or may be longer.  I get it once every few months.  When I switch off and restart it normally goes away.  Never been bothered by it.

after a quick car wash at tesco, the error message came out again when I drove it in the evening when turned on the headlight. it was not on after the wash on the way back home.

......ahhhh the headlight suspension interlock mode......Kidding

2 off us have had this as a direct result of switching on lights.....weird. A capacitor on the nearside HID has shut mine up....

Got my error message cleared - yay!

Birch 4x4 that carried out my gearbox rebuild carried out check for me and advised low voltage at off side rear.

I have just replaced this sensor - easy - two 10mm nuts and unplug sensor then reverse to install new. Initially the message on dashboard still appeared but after a minute or so of driving it cleared So happy - This message with associated flashing triangle/arrows has been getting at me!
