Nice mod, well done, I may need you to do my next mod, I'm thinking of making the X6 look more like a 6 series GC.  ;)

6 GC is definitely in my future. Was going to buy one but wifey preferred the X6. Apart from 535's pathological hatred of them (;)) it's generated very positive comments and I love being in it. Still can't help pining a tiny bit when I see a GC though.

Problem is it looks so big but if I was in the market for a big car that would have to be the one.

It is large car but it definitely felt smaller when driving. Still bloody wide though.

Talk about thread hijacking - I don't know if I want a Ferrari kit car, and what chassis would you use for a hummer kit?

Can't knock my new 330d for economy, I managed 35mpg on a trip the old 318 only managed 26mpg on, and it's quicker too.

Thank you Sanj and all others.

Surprisingly no it doesn't make the X feel dated mate.  They are two completely different cars, the E92 is deceptively quick (SWMBO will have to watch her right foot and I haven't even let Jason take a look at it yet - might steer clear of the 308 bhp 550nm map he does :o ), comfy and generally a good drive even with 225,45,18's on the front & 255,40,18's on the rear, all RFT'S .  The X is my car of choice if going on a longer drive/day out.  Effortless cruising and those comfort seats are just so damn good.  I even prefer the Sat Nav voice in the X.

I do like the iDrive though.  Some good features and user settings, but there could be so much more.......

Basically two good cars :)

Really great car, well done.

When I had my E91, I was struck by the difference in the stock RFT (continental iirc) and the Michelin ps3 I replaced them with. The latter were a far superior tyre and the ride was (relatively)great with them.

This has the Pirelli zero's at the mo with 6mm all round so will look again when a change is due.
The Goodyear Asymmetric 2's have some very complimentary write ups and rated on bimmer forum too.
