I may be wrong here, but I think you will find the BT code on the module in the boot. Think that's located below the 6 disc cd and nav drive. Sanj will quantify this. I'm sure  ;)

Lol. Yes I've located the BT module, exactly where you say. Looks like I need to remove the sliding boot floor and a few bits of trim to get to it though. Thats a job for the weekend!

Can you get the phone down there, to take a pic?

Already tried that, no dice. Will try a mirror etc but not shy when it comes to getting the tools out.

Good luck, BT is a great bit of kit to have.

Ah, I also have the lighting pack that includes puddle lights in the wing mirrors!

Todays news: CD Changer is jammed (needs a whack!) and I've just had the 4 Wheel geometry and alignment done.

The sliding floor does hinge upwards, hinges are behind rear seat, with a support rod clipped under floor, similar to old fashioned bonnet hinging.
And welcome from me (have done a few mods myself)

Cheers Lez, excellent advice. Just been out, lifted the floor, removed the trim and got to the module! Got good news and bad news!

Good news: I found the locking wheel nut key, found out I have a removable towbar (unused) and I found £3.70 in change!

Bad news: The sticker that had the passkey on it has been separated along the perforation and the code removed! Not cool. It's not in the handbook etc either.

Where do you rekon I should go from here? I'm assuming remove the module, get serial number and approach BMW for the code?

Give you local BMW dealer a call with the last 7 digits of the chassis no. And they should be able to help. Great news re: tow bar and locking nut, pint of beer in change an added bonus  :))

Welcome and some excellent finds under the floor.

That reminds me that I need to pair my new phone with the X, but I think the sliding armrest guillotine has damaged the pairing button cable again :(

Thanks guys, just spoke to BMW. They can read the code but will charge me £60+vat. Bloody cheek considering it'll take a few mins! I can buy a replacement module from ebay for £60-£100.

This is annoying as it's not really something I'll use, but I want it working LOL

Worth contacting the previous owner and maybe even the supplying dealer  ;)
