What is the heated steering fall under on new ones? Winter package II With the rear seat heat? I was given a brand new corsa last year when my waterpump took a piss on me and that car had the heated steering wheel and i was pretty impressed with it. As always great work Raj.

Cheers Kerim.

Think it may be a separate option tbh as my X has front and rear heated seats but no heated steering wheel. May well be part of a winter pack on new model specification.

Congrats on the mod.  It is one of my favourite mods, combined with the remote aux heating and heated seats makes it ideal for the spring weather.  :cold:

We are a seemingly small by elite club of warm handed X drivers.  I don't use my heated wheel much, but when you use it you gotta love it :)

Lol at that last comment but sooo true.

Don't have the aux heater but it spends every night in a nice radiatored garage so isn't too bad lol

I reckon double glazed windows would have some beneficial heat retaining qualities and so they should also be added to the list of ideal 'spring weather' mods  :cold:

It was a standalone option for the X6, not in any pack at the time.

It was part of the Climate Package on my '06' e53 V8

@ Raj - do you have any idea if the steering swap out on an e60 would be the same as an e53? I'm thinking a dealer visit would be require for coding and the like  ::)

Shouldn't need any coding and should be the same as with the E53. More than likely just need the wheel, slipring and again the required relay.

On my E60 530d I retro fitted the M5 wheel to use the paddles when in manual mode on the auto box. Again just needed the slipring that has the connection for the smg paddles to fit.

Will have to research it.

I've got to take HRH Shopping in the Mini shortly.....no heated wheel!  But it has a heated screen front and rear so at least I won't be sweeping snow.
