Insurance time again. Anyone heard of e-Choice?

No insurance is a complete no,no. Let's get draconian.

1st offence License gone for 2 years and minimum £5k fine.

2nd offence License gone for good.

Drink driving License gone for good on first offence.

If you want to get draconian, chop their hands off!!! taking the licence off these people still dosen't stop them, if they don't have a licence what's there to take? as for a fine of £5k. If they have that amount  and could pay, they should have paid for the insurance in the first place  >:D

Sorry for rant, but this subject winds me up to no end. A very good friend is in a wheel chair now due to the actions of one of these  :rant:  :'(

Yep, does make my blood boil when I hear of accidents an uninsured drivers.

A man I used to know was caught drink-driving no less than 8 times and has a lifetime driving ban, but he still drove and continued to do so despite being jailed for 6-months on a couple of occasions.  Nothing seemed to stop him.

Part of the issue with uninsured drivers is that the penalties are far less than the insurance cost, and not enough get caught so there is little in the way if deterrence.  Those of us who are always legal get the bills.

Until a proper penalty and enforcement regime is introduced - even crushing their car doesn't work, as that and the fine are still less than the insurance cost - the situation will not improve.  Some people just don't get it, and don't care.  Others just plead poverty and the Courts let them off with little more than a slapped wrist.  I would not be in the lest surprised to find that actually we're paying the fine in a number of instances because the guilty are on benefits!

Hey Jamee .....that's cheap.  The cheapest I could find with a lowish excess was 595 with 300 excess...tescos.

Yet you are younger than me and your wife is younger than my partner. I got 9 yrs no claims....no accidents etc....my partner no accidents either.  And I live in what I thought was a low risk area....being Norfolk. !!!

Do you have a tracker fitted.....maybe that's why it's cheaper???
