a runflat can run up to 150 miles at 50 mph if its punctured, a non runflat cant..

The difference in price between my 19" non RFT's and RTF's was close to £100 per tyre, guess the difference would be more on e7x vehicles

I thought it was up to 50 miles on a punctured RFT. Going by the internal condition of the last punctured RFT on my wife's 1er, any more than 50 miles would have been game over

I too thought it was 50 miles
Not to say I didn't one do 3 times that at a speed a little more than recommended at 4am one morning with a large bulge in the sidewall that I now remember pickin up the night before!!!
Maybe having a run flat saved me there but it was a pita in the arse buying a new tyre when they concept was so new so far from home.
Also hit a rock in the road a few miles from home once. That made big hole too and managed to drive it home with no further damage.
Probably marginally prefer this to sealant which I now have in each of my cars but would still prefer a full size wheel really!
