No easy answer to that one other than Tarmac/block pave etc. They don't like coarse/large gravel usually. Pea gravel is usually preferred... >:D
I left our garage door open whilst working on the X6 and the neighbours Norwegian Cat (very long hair) 'nested' on the roof of HRHs' vert roof. Took me ages to get the new mohair finish off with a vac.....

Pepper round the general area. Our neighbourhood cats like sitting under the cars when engines are warm - if only I could manage to sneak in and start it up before the thing saw me.........
Worst one for me is when visiting my brother who has peacocks. For some reason they have got it in for black cars and peck at it (the nice shine no doubt). Then the cock comes along - no, not me, the male bird LOL - and plomps himself on the bonnet or wanders up on to the roof. Have taken to using car cover when visiting; or even not bothering to visit LOL.

I've had cats for years and usually spraying them with water will work, (only ever come across one cat that did not give a damm about water) they will get the message in the end or you could get a cat yourself. And let's have no more of the cruel comments you mean lot.
