Some e61's had it but via a button on the remote which you had to hold until the job was finished.

Not quite as good as this later offering.

Yes mine had it as does my current.

I like the idea of being able to carry stuff straight to the car without having to fumble for keys b

Perhaps an infrared light switch under rear of bumper.
I realise that it would require some thought and trial and error to sort, but that is half the fun in mods.

keyless entry as well or only the rear end?
