Welcome

GLad to see you avoided the pink, shame about the exhaust pipes

Happy birthday and enjoy your mid life crisis, I'm a way off yet.

Welcome indeed.

That colour looks great.  Haven't seen one like that before, and it really suits the 6.

Oyster has got to be the best colour choice for a family car too.

Enjoy your ownership, no matter how long it may be ;)

Ha ha.

I'm not a turbo fan anymore. Been there done that, a few times.

I was hoping mine wouldn't have the new V8 twin turbo in it.

Hi and welcome.  Nice car you will have to give us an update once you have had her for a few months, looks like a nice spec too.

Hi and welcome Pope, (are you hopeful of taking up the new post a the Vatican?)  ;)

Running costs won't be that far off the 635d, depending on your driving style, low 30s are achievable from a gallon of your finest diesel.  Not as much as your car, but maybe not as bad as you believe.

Feel free to ask questions to see just what the real running cost are.

:)) bless you my son...

I wrote my post when i still had my little X3, and as you know, i've just gone and bought a bloody gert X5,... so much for being worried about running costs then. :'(

As for the 635d. she's pretty good on fuel. giving me about 28mpg in town and 36mpg at a steady 85mph.
I cant bring myself to potter about in the slow lane when i'm driving the 6, but i reckon she'd do 40+mpg at steady 65-70mph...

Thanks, haven't seen one like it yet.  In the sun today, one side looked a dark green while the other side looked dark blue.  Really nice, IMO, with the light leather seats.  Absolutely loving it and my wife drives it everywhere - she'll never say 'Good choice' but the fact that she hasn't driven the Mini since we got it is the biggest thumbs up I will ever get from her!  ::) :)
