So I had to get the wife an updated 1 series, went diesel this time - much better for our lifestyle.

It's a  December 2005 build and I have 2 mods I'd like to get done on this one.

1. Bluetooth (it doesn't have it - or so I think it doesn't)
2. iPod connectivity - just want to see the Album/Playlist/Songs on the screen

I'm slowly getting through the babyBMW forum but wondered if any forum members on here have a similar spec second car and may be able to help me shortcut through to the answers.

Hey Sanj, bought the misses a 2007 120d m sport couple of years back,  it`s got a few toys including bluetooth and sat nav but no ipod connectivity (yet) . Give me a shout with any questions , glad to help if i can.

Done it!

The car accepts the Parrot CK3100 with the additional quadlock loom. Car has the iDrive with single CD and DVD under that. Total cost for me will be £22 - BMW wanted £1100 for the OEM option and to bring it to the screen. Think I can live with the Parrot one (besides, its better)!

Retrofit iPod integration is available from BMW for £241. That gives me full integration onto the screen but I lose the CD changer. And as most women say 'it's not wooorth iiiit'. So for now it's on the back burner (hope the changer reads MP3s).

If anyone knows of a secondhand iPod integration for the 1 Series please let me know.

You know me, I'll help anyone (if I have the time).

Besides he's kind enough to sort my Apple products and good to bounce ideas off of when you need advice from like minded folk - but yes, he's still a bum!  :))
