Thanks for the welcome guys
Did consider a carbon black X5 before purchase, but still have nightmares trying to polish out swirl marks on my sapphire black E90 330ise which I loved! It was a pain in the ass to keep in good nick, and why is BMW water based paint so easy to dent, chip and dull with the UK driving conditions!
Wish we had the option of that special self healing paint you can get on Infinity models ?

Welcome from another Aberdeenshire one. Space Gray is the best colour, other half wanted black but like you have been scarred in the past!!

Tis a nice colour and as you say Black is a nightmare to keep looking pristine.
