I am 99% sure I went to see an X5 from this very garage. 250 mile round trip for me. It was 55 plate 3.0 diesel. I must have made 8-10 calls to check every last detail before setting off. Took the cash with me. Excellent condition Shez. Immaculate. Not a scratch on it.

Turned out to be the biggest pile of rubbish ever! Scratches and scuffs everywhere. The salesman was absolutely stereotypical, wouldn't trust him at all mate.

Get all the checks done thoroughly and good luck!!

Don't want to worry you but have a very good look at the air suspension particularly as there has already been some work in that area. In the picture, the front looks a tad low to me. There is a button to the right of the steering wheel (which should be lit). Try raising and lowering the suspension. In my view it is a useless function but a handy check on the suspension itself.
Also don't get fixated on this car - there are and will be plenty more and helpfully most of them will be well specced.

Yep it's them hence my requirment to get it checked out by a pro. Cosmetically it is not immaculate but there is nothing that I spotted that would deter me but I plan to have a more detailed check. I am only 40 miles away and I snuck out from work when I checked it so I would like to go up again on the weekend and take a longer ook at somethings again and check a few things that I missed.

It has had some work done. The dealer doesn't have the receipts but the garage that has done the work is just around the corner and they said they can get them. I know the pump and springs have been changed. I am not sure but the impression  I got from the pics was that they were taken on a road with a slight incline.  Funny enough I did plan to measure the spacing around the car(for what it's worth)

Air suspension raises and lowers. I plan to go up with the other half on saturday so that I can get her to test things whislt I look around the car.

Ask Raj - PM him or anything. He'll chat to you for ages and give you all you need to know about this particular model. As you may know, he has one.

Oh and don't bother buying in the snow! But take a look of course!  :)
