Can't Remember off the top of my head think it was around £300 I'd have to dig out the receipt.

You will find it's the other way around
Auto gear boxes can take a lot more torque than a manual
That's why 335d,535d,x3.0sd are all autos as the manual gear box will not cope with the torque

It was more the kick down you get with an automatic under acceleration (and then it holding the gear for far too long!) rather than the boxes physical limits I was trying to get at. You'll know more than me obviously I'm just going off what I was told
