Just caught one of mine on a car park kerb...... :cry1:

It's having the winter rubber fitted next week so I'll ask the Dealer Bodyshop (a BMW approved one) to tell e the cost.  I think it's about £60 a go.  Only minor damage to the lacquer but....... :cry1: :cry1:

Noooo! So frustrating!  At least having the winter wheels makes it easier to get the wheel fixed.

Gutted for ya Richard but as Don has said, at least you have second set of rims to put on while getting yours sorted.

What are the chances of kerbing your lovely 20" wheel on the way to put your winter wheels on.
And the kerb was so low if I had my winter wheels on it would not have kerbed it.  :cry1:

i feel for u mate, how worse can it get.. than on the way to remove them and store them!!

width restrictions are teh worst,  some are not even straight through a bit curved! ive started avoiding 6.6ft restrictions after buying the X. there used to be a regular take out joint close to my place which was through an effin 6ft restriction!! never been there since buying the X!

It's not actually as bat as it sounded when I did it and after giving it a wipe to remove all the flakes of lacquer that is all that is damaged
Now I have got the wheels in my workshop they do look a bit tatty and have got quite a lot of scratches from over enthusiastic car wash personnel with their jet washer so I think a refurb is in order anyway. Plus I've got all winter to get it done !

I feel for you all, Kerbed mine as well yesterday in the snow :(

Somehow I managed to get the back end out on the X3 and hit a kerb pretty hard. So annoyed with myself. £70 down the drain to fix it.

Looking at the weather over there, hopefully not doing it a day late.
