X555 it seems you have a viable business opportunity here?
Viable you say! Then what do you reckon i should charge for this custom sub enclosure given the amount of labour involved cutting/machining all those different angles on different pieces?
@ blingsta and Lez ...what would you expexct to pay for such an item?.......of course blingsta you would have to take in account the discount for wearing your missus's short skirt and boots for me
........further discounts could be applied for your missus wearing them of course
Joking aside fellas i would love to help you out and make a few bucks in the process but i couln't make them cheap enough for you to want them as the materials are cheap but they are too labour intensive
hence why i only made a few for my close/good buddies..............and Sanj of course

no probs matey.. but if one day you get bored and have time on your hands, gimme a call and i will drive down with my short skirt on !!
i'll leave the Mrs at home cos my legs are better than hers
Price wise, you would obviously have to give me a price and i would say yes or no, or make a counter offer !!
but thanks for taking the time to reply matey

Considering you have not listed a cost why is it not viable?

Do you think you might be able to make at a reasonable price if more of us were interested in buying one?

Right gents due to the interest i will have a look in the workshop this weekend and work out a price for the custom sub enclosure. After speaking to my financial advisor last night i would say they will be around the £200 mark per box if anyone is interested.

Sounds about right to me... they are a pretty complicated piece of work!
I'll have one... no rush to get it done as I only come home on the 21st December so after New Year is no problem for me.
Turks.

Is that the price for the enclosure on it's own or the enclosure and the sub with connectors?

My sub (the Focal) in the original post is the perfect size for the volume displacement this enclosure produces (10 - 11 litres) a hand made jobbie coming in at £135 and upwards, so I would think not.
Oh and if anyone goes for this box - go for this sub, you will not feel let down. Although the one x555 has is also very good (a JL, I think).

Ok fella's i can see from the interest that this is viable after all.I will do a little further research as regards to postage and payment etc and then get back to you with a firm price. Not wanting to delay the process but just get it right so that we all know where we stand as regards to cost and what you get.
As for the questions so far.....
Newx5..... it seems you were right i tipp my cap sir
Turks.... i will be in touch soon with a pm
Blingsta.......we will have to discuss that discount for the skirt wearing of course
but i will be in touch soon aswell
Tim.....I managed to wire mine up myself so yes they are quite easy (I'm the chippy not the sparky
)t used a link from BSW to do mine which i will dig out for you if needed.
Rusty nail... the price when firmed up will be for the enclosure only.
HTH all
