looking at a Saab turbo convertible, missus has always liked them and not to expensive, and being basically a vauxhall should not be to bad on parts

Our neighbours had one - a 9-3 if that's the right model - in beige.....and sold it after a year. It was in the local Dealership being repaired more than on their drive (sounds like a BMW :blink: ). They bought it second hand at about a year old - and from a main dealer when we had one locally - ex demo. Looked very tidy though, just unreliable.

Saab turbo's have problems with camchain guide failures.
My mate just DIY'd his one, but specialists want £1100 for the job. And its a common issue, his car only has 46k miles.

just out of interest was it the garage that diagnosed your x5 that bought it?

No it was a different garage
