Separate question. If the car has a voice button on the steering wheel,  does the car have voice control?

Mine certainly has that.  Press it and see what happens..... ;)

And there's about 20 pages of commands to learn too..... >:( :o :-[

Your car has the older Ecu type so it will be much harder to prove if it's been remapped if you flash the Ecu back to stock
But I would recommend you clear all fault codes before it goes in to the dealers
With the remap on these 30sd we bring these up to 345bhp 700nm of torque which I have posted here
http://xdrivers.co.uk/forum/https://xdr ... ic.php?t=3
This was tested by the owner of the car on his dyno dynamics rolling road which we made there tuned files for

As I have always said if I can tell a car has been remapped by driving it or through the diagnostics which is very very easy then I'm sure BMW can

Jason,  thanks for responding to both threads.  Think I will speak to my friendly dealer and weigh up the risks.  Keen to get it done but not risk my costly investment.

Had an unprompted race with my neighbour in his brand new A8 3.0tdi this morning and I was gaining on his initial lead,  so it makes me wonder if a)  he was not trying,  b)  the A8 is useless,  c)  the X5 is not std?

Not going to attempt this with my other neighbour,  think a 2011 Nissan GTR may just have the edge!
