also try switching on the headlights slowly...e.g. flick to sidelight..wait to 2 seconds then slowly to dipped beam. see how u get on. sometimes HIDs when flicked on too quickly cause weird things and warnings to come up....i have seen this many a time when installing HIDs

They are...they're 35w Canbus Pro's from HIDS Direct, the very same ones are on the wifes car and that doesn't have an issue. I may have a Capacitor handy from an ill fated 55w HID kit attempt, might try that as it could buffer the power perhaps. I did have two but one blew up mucking about with it :-[

It has happened even when I've left it a minute running before putting them on. It never happens right away but I can be driving say a mile and look down and the warning is on.

Never had the lights on today and not a peep, even after 70 miles.

Worst case sounds like a battery effect but it starts well and at £90+ it's a cost I'm going to avoid for the time being

Hi I am new here so hoping someone will be able to help.

Yesterday the error "self level susp inact" came up. The 3 position button on the dash was lit but wouldn't raise or lower the car. Today after disconnecting the battery the light has now gone off on the button. But i think it may come back on again after another disconnect.

The suspension height hasn't dropped and seems to hold its level, the problem is just the error and the button not working when pressed. I ran 12volts directly to the pump today and it spins so i don't think that's the problem, however the car didnt rise? The fuses are all good so what could be the problem here?

Tbh the self levelling suspension is a very problematic system.

After the disconnect does the suspension now work once again? If so dot worry about it till it happens again as the system does get its knickers in a twist quite a lot. However, can be a sensor issue, the control module, the air pump (even though it does appear to be working), etc etc.

When I had something similar with mine it did in fact turn out to be the air pump even though it did work when it was tested.

Sorry can't help any further without being able to look at it personally.

Or you can put it on the diagnostics (like scanner 1.4.0) to see if any faults stored.

If you have an appropriate scanner Look at the PWM and check control settings for the dip beam..
This can cause significant electrical noise on the system as the ballasts on the HIDS are very inductive.
I had that message every time i turned my dips on (and i always drive with dip on!) but now PWM and Check control turned off there hasn't been that message since.

Loss of check control is not an issue as you can tell when one is out!!
