That sounds like a reasonable deal with the 30day get out.  I have 9 months left on my contract which gives me 200 mins (probably only use about 10% per month) unlimited texts and 500mb of data (again I've never used it all in a month even using the Internet daily and tethering the iPad and kindle etc as required) for £13 PCM on my Samsung.
Not having one, do iPhones have a unique contract to match the 1/2 sim they use?  Just wondered if the tethering issue is apple exclusive?

My iphone is a 4s on an o2 contract unlimited minutes and texts and 1GB data. Tethering included free of charge.  Been with o2 for over 10 years and very happy with the service over that time esp when I see other providers charging for tethering!
