with X5 being an SAV it won't make a huge difference whether you have a bull bar or not. if you get hit by an X5 you'll get hurt no matter what.
I beg to differ. Of course it`ll still hurt BUT...

IF I was hit by a car that had a low speed blowout and mounted the pavement, I`d rather it had a plastic bumper that was designed to absorb impact, rather than some scaffolding bolted to the front.

As I said, I don`t get the point of them on a road vehicle.

As they were originally designed for use in Oz to keep car occupants safe from kangaroos I have to agree that here they really are a 'styling' mod, and each to their own......just see my thread on the ACS X6 Falcon in the X6 forum. I think the comments made by the assembled company of this group has made their feelings pretty clear on that subject.

Not that I am ever likely to (a) afford it, or (b) get 'financial control' to approve it or (c) ever actually go that far.

Personally I don't think they're a good idea either, or a particularly attractive mod, but it's not my car.

I think another member had a similar one and a lorry reversed into it and iirc it saved most of the front of the car so they do have their uses

i love it. it looks better in my opinion.
now the guy who wrapped the bullbar is working on the interior pieces to wrap with carbon fiber as well. that will be done this week with the installation of the AC schnitzer pedals.
