Omg, so i guess what your saying is your wife has been driving it and she likes it so much she wont let you have the keys
Considering she has shown no interest in it up until this point I'm glad she likes it so yes I'm not going to stop her enjoying it !
I also won't her to think it is hers as opposed to something that I really wanted - which I guess I did!
She works for me so it is parked outside my office window by the X5 so it is a bit of a tease being able to see it but not take it!

What time are you going either way?
If it works you can drop in and see it if you like - assuming I can tie it down long enough!
Running in period is 1800 sodding miles so it needs to be moving, a lot!

Very nice......trouble is that the last time I saw one a person of 6'4" won't fit. And before you say anything pvr, my height did not change
that much after the surgery....

I don't think the height issue is a problem for me, as long as I can see over the wheel!!!

I feared that might still be an issue - SWMBO rather likes them too and is only a little lass. She has the Mini though so I am not offering!!

So I got up early this morning while the Mrs was still in bed to nick her car for an hour or so, I think I am falling for it big time ! I took it on roads that I would take the Lotus on at that time of the morning which are generally empty and nice and twisty
Still running in of course, I think it is up to 450 miles or so now and therefore self imposed rev limit of 5k with possibly 3/4s throttle travel.
The first thing that really sticks out is the ride, I can't get over how good the ride is given the 20" wheels in comparison to her old Mk2 TT on 18s and my X5 on 20s (run flats and M Sport suspension). It really is quite comfortable.
But what also really impresses is that with the great ride, the handling is awesome, it just sticks the nose in where you point it and turns what seems like totally flat. Again not pushed really hard because of the mileage on the tyres but I did have a good play with a biker this morning.
The PDK gearbox is several classes above the s-tronic in her old TT (which I thought was good then (2008 model) and the sound of the engine, even without PSE, is really nice, again only up to 5k.
I'm looking forward to getting the miles on so it can be taken right around the rev counter to the limiter.
Still have not worked out all of the gadgets but will get there.
Sorry not a great write up, I'm a numbers man not a words man (!), but feel free to ask any questions if you like.
I can see the Lotus being parked up in the garage a lot for the time being and it almost becoming a track only car. I would love to take the Porsche on track and see if it handles as well on track as the road but I may need to convince her some more on this yet ! Her insurance policy with Porsche Insurance does include 2 free track days so I am going to work on her to come with me one day so she can have a little go and then when she isn't looking again................

You can see the new Boxster is going to drive well by the look of it!
Yes, you should track the car - I've tracked my 911 three times and I'm amazed how well they go, no matter what I do the car just wants more and is capable of far more than I'm able to give it. I'm not sure the new Boxster would be able to leave the 997 on a straight, the 997 may even have a slight speed advantage, but on the corners you should leave me way behind.
Hope you gave it a clean so the Mrs. Didn't know you'd taken it out!
