Used mine today, 25 degrees and very strong sun. Rinsed off with filtered water and not a mark on the car. Worth every penny !!
Used my waterspot filter for the same. Deffo looking forward to getting a DI though.

Out of interest though. What routine do you (and pvr) use to stop the soap water rinse from drying and leaving waterspots before being able to rinse with the filtered water?
I was looking at that link, and with the refils, for about a fiver or so more, you get this filter. No idea what for ...
I'm going to guess that it's a sand bed filter, or micro mesh filter to keep the crud from non-supply tanks such as water butts. I now have a fine mesh filter that sits on the front of my PW and prevents any small particles from getting into the pump as the hosepipe ban means I have to be 'off-supply' for now. I would imagine it would be a good idea to do the same if you want to keep the DI filtration as good as possible perhaps?

As these are for detailers on the road, I suppose they may have on-vehicle tanks which over time will get a bit silty.

After wash, rinse with hose first to get the car soaking wet and all soap removed. After that, connect to the vessel and sheet the car off.

Not a spot on the car I am pleased to say :D

Possible group buy - DI Vessel

I think I have managed to negotiate a tentative OK from SWMBO, so count that as my interest.

My routine is similar to PVR. However I use a snow foam lance so after washing the car on Sat it was drying quickly therefore I sprayed again with the snow foam onto the clean car to wetten it all again. Then I rinsed off with pressure washer and immediately sheeted off with ordinary hose and filtered water. Still gave it a run over with the drying towel and some instant detailer spray later to bring up the zing a bit.

Sons 6th birthday yesterday so we took the kids out for day today with his friends and cousins bowling, etc so not had a chance to ring round.

Haven't forgotten. Waiting on Doug @DAQUA to ring me back to discuss and have spoken to Mark @Purityfilter.

Mark has quoted £99 delivered for an 11lt DI vessel filled with mixed bed resin (the resin used is from Puralite). So slightly cheaper at present than Doug has quoted. They are brand new and he is based in Leatherhead (so if you can collect then reduces the cost by the £9 delivery charge to £90).

As soon as Doug comes back to me I'll post up and we can make a decision accordingly.

Ok. So have spoken to Doug @DAQUA and also Pure Freedom who also supply the same for comparison.

Pure Freedom have said for at least 5 orders the cheapest they are willing to do is £108 for exactly the same setup as DAQUA.

Doug @DAQUA has said he will supply an 11lt vessel with connections and Tulsion MB-115 mixed bed resin (which is higher quality) and will do it on a sliding scale basis, so:

1-2 people = £107.46 delivered (within UK)
3-4 people = £104 delivered (within UK)
5 or more = £101 delivered (within UK)

From talking to Doug on a couple of occasions now I would prefer to run it through him as the vessel uses best quality components and the resin is also higher rated. Another factor for me as that others from here have already bought and use them so can vouch for the product itself.

Doug has said that he will honour the pricing until end of next week and would require all those interested to ring him on 01786469606 to register a definite order with shipping address (mention the forum xDrivers when ringing). At the end of next week I can then confirm how many are definite and the price. Then you just ring back with payment details and await your delivery.

So, if the following (and any others wishing to take up the offer) give him a call and send me a pm also please then let's see what happens.

Thanks.
