The dealer got back to me today, they have mislaid the service book! They confirm that it has a FBMW history and have given me a computer printout pending the servicing dealer completing a new service book, returning it to them so they can add the service they did last week and they will then send it back to me.

How do these beasts treat their tyres? I suspect it depends on driving style but if driven like a hooligan then tyres will be short lived?
Got a 330 mile each way tomorrow and Weds so should see what sort of mpg on a decent run. So far, love driving it.

I have a toolbox (stolen from you lot)! Don't need a step ladder! :P

Regards the tyres, 4 wheel laser alignment is essential to get toe/camber/etc all correct, otherwise yes it will chew tyres (make sure the tyres are correctly inflated too).

Can you do a quick experiment? On a good run most will see the Range show 600 miles, can you test as far as you dare as you'll have 660 to cover. Wanna see how far a full tank of 93 litres of diesel will take these cars (no going too crazy with the right foot though)! Safe journey!

Changed my tyres at around 26,000 and 54,000 miles. First two sets were Michelin Diamaris and it was sold with Bridgestone RFTs fitted that came with the X6 19" winter rims and I didn't need. I don't let mine get below 3mm (old habit), and occasionally do drive em like I 'stole it'..... :D

Safe journey from me too...

340 miles, steady 80 on cruise, 36 mpg. Pretty good, considering the odd blast!

Sounds about right.

Of course you 'need' to overtake some people in an urgent fashion, just for safety reasons :D

Sounds good. I'm quite impressed with my 4.8 at the mo too. I had to take a pic today of the instrument cluster as it was showing 156.2 miles covered with a range still of 357 miles. I'm lucky to get just over 300 usually...lol
