I have 4 CTEK chargers on cars, works great and ensures the cars always start.

Killed a battery in 2 years on my first Z, so I have had CTEKS from then onwards on all the cars that don't move everyday.

Just been checking the the invoices with my car and BMW fitted a new battery in Nov 11, so the first battery lasted just over 6 years on a car that did 56 k in that time so that is not too bad on a lowish mileag car.

As I will ontly doing about 5k a year with the car and it will often stand for a week or 2 at times I was worried about the battery going flat. It seems common on X5 and Rangies etc.

I think I will get a Ctek and hopefully keep the newish battery ok for a few years yet.

Just checked the voltage to day and it is .01 down on yesterday and only 8deg when I checked it so it seems to be a good battery and the drain not too bad.

Has anyone conected there Ctek to charge the batter from one of the cars 12V sockets? I would think it would be ok as most of the cheap solars conect that way.
