I like the black Dakota on my X5 40d is great, tough, durable to withstand daily chores without getting scuffed or scratched. The Nappa leather is an option but too soft for me as I use my car as a daily workhorse for carting stuff around & I wear work gear.

I had Nappa on two E46 M3's & after 12 months it showed serious signs of wear. I suppose it's ok if you're sat in a suit all day but if your in work gear then no chance...a coarse had wearing leather is a must. Who cares about it wearing in? I keep cars three years max so it isn't like buying a leather jacket.

Do agree on the dash, poor for a 50 - 60K car, although I thought the same about my previous C350 Sport Merc & 997 C2 S before that. If you want a disappointing interior then Porsche live up to that well in terms or price & what should be expected for 70K

Regardless of the fact I've just bought a new 30d M sport I totally agree.

The interior of the Q7 S-Line was significantly better than the X in almost every respect.

However, the X was on balance a much better car than the Audi (and nowhere near as big which was a factor for Mrs M).
