Will you not try and sell privately?

Never thought about it really. I guess there's always the feeling of security with P/Ex and I have no idea what the differences between a private sale and P/Ex are. Would also need to be 100% sure it would go at the right time. I'm a little tempted to keep the E53, but I think 'financial control', aka SWMBO, might object a tad.

I'll presume you've had a part exchange price from the dealer?

You always get more going private, but i've heard some very good p/x prices from dealers in the past.

SWMBO has decided now she would like us to keep the X5, so we will. Just means I have to pay a bit more cash for the E71.

If she finds that she can't run it then we'll sell it at that time privately. The current challenge is finding a multi-car insurance policy. Eier thqt or we'll have to put her E46 on a 'Specialist Policy' assuming we can get one.

Car arrived Southampton on the 1st and is expected to be with the Dealer on the 9th. All being well I should have her on 12th. Yippee

Not long now. Dealer just told me it's gone code 9610 - About to depart port of entry (Bremerhavedn), so should be in Southamption on Monday.

It's like Xmas came early - well several of them actually given the list price

I start the handover @ 13:00 tomorrow (11/11). I saw her on Monday evening and she's a beauty. Too 'orrible and wet to take picies though.

Dealer doing all their bits throughout today. Techies have been out and had a play - typical. I've got the handbook to read (geek as SWMBO called me - she's just jealous). Assist, Teleservices and Connected Drive all now on - can see the car via my iPhone (seriously anoraky that!!)

Should get her home mid-afternoon. Piccies to follow once I've sussed the proper way of putting them onto the site. I think I have to use a separate photo store/webshare account?
