Re: New to the forum and loving the X5
Do i really have to set up an account with Photo bucket then copy and paste links to add pictures. That's a bit of a hassle isn't it !
Is there no simpler way ?!

Re: New to the forum and loving the X5
Welcome aboard..
When I was looking to replace the Skoda Octavia L&K - no laughing, it's an Audi without the price-tag
- and had just received a payout for being made redundant after 24 years, we decided we wanted a 4x4 too. As tother half suffers from that miserable affliction of car sickness it meant the ride had to be good. I had run a fleet of Land Rovers and had little faith in them, even less in their dealers! We tried the Land Cruiser Colorado and Amazon, ML, XC90, Kia Sorento, Shogun, CR-V, the VW Touareg and a couple of others. There were no Audi 'Qs' in 2004. Nearly bought the VW, but went away to think about it and passed the BMW Dealer on the way home. Hadn't even thought about the X5, but one test drive in a 3.0D and I was sold. You made a good choice.
Had the E53 from new in 2005 until last December and bought an X6 in 2010. As we're looking to start a family, my guess is our 'vert' will have to go too. Not an M3, but it will still be missed.

Thanks. It took a while on the net to look around to find the right spec. In order of priority it had to have:
2 turbos!
Black shadow line trim, and not the chrome, so that narrowed the choice down as most have the chrome finish.
Panoramic roof. After having the convertible I thought this might ease me away from the M3 !!
Ideally I also wanted the reverse camera as my wife was a bit nervous about the size of the car and didn't want to be one of those people driving round in a big car and not being able to park properly !
Bamboo trim as all the ones with Aluminium trim I saw were so scratched and dented it annoyed me. BMW said its around £1200 to replace the aluminium trim!,
Heated seats
I was chuffed to find this one that ticked all the boxes just as I sold my old car. A bit of luck I think.
The only thing it doesn't have that I wanted is the USB interface but I gather I can add that by installing the Gateway 500 by Dension.
I think its pretty much the spec I would order from new. Really happy with it
Thanks again.

Great (except for that hole in the bonnet
).
What Black is that? The spec looks very similar to what I ordered (including the cameras).
