Have you tried
these folks? Bosch Specialist who deals with BMW. Their local (to me) equivalent 'blew' the firmware into my X5's new Mechatronics Unit as they come blank from the supplier so need the car & manufacturer specific firmware/software uploaded ( a lot of manufacturers use the ZF 6-sp transmission ).
They may be able to help out...

Sorry to keep coming back to this subject! I spoke to the local indy at the time of this original thread, who said that they knew they couldn't help me as they don't have access to the right level of the ECU. So I googled autologic and noticed that there was a place in Newcastle. We are heading down in a few weeks so I decided to get it booked in today.. turns out that the autologic I found isn't the same as a BMW specialist running autologic! (I did used to be blonde so I can blame it on that, I just asked a haulier company to retune my X3
))
So do any of you have contacts who could help me out please?
Thanks

They are the ones who deliver BMW's to the main dealers
So all the BMW's in the uk have been on the back of a Autologic truck trailer
Give Autologic (diagnos) a call and ask them who is there nearest BMW softerware user is to you 01865870050
