Am i the only one who thinks this is suspicious on the garages behalf, read it closely, and look all parts are included you could bolt this back together in a day yet they have dropped it from £14995 to 7/8k cant remember now, also yeh the thieves might take the mirrors but why would they waste their time removing a ver very time consuming interior that fetch oh all of £300 on ebay, it would take them 5 hours to dtrip to that degree in a lit garage, also the other parts are pretty low value in realiy, yet they leave the wheels what are worth more than the interior but can be taken off in 10 min!! strange, my guess is you buy a perfect looking x5 that once re built is a non runner with high miles and faults showing on obd. im perhaps a bit negative but if the story is true i cant see why they dont just fix it!

Having a tracker isn't going to help prevent the buggers stripping bits off your pride & joy.

I don't have a tracker fitted and my insurance is currently £420 for 2 of us and parked on the road. Never had a problem getting insurance quotes either.

I was with Direct line for years but when I got the X5 they wouldn't insure me without a Tracker so I switched to Swiftcover who didn't insist on one - £605 fully comp for the year (Full NCB).

The only problem with Admiral and Bell if I recall correctly is that they can use non-genuine or recycled parts in a repair which put me off. I ended up going with BMW insurance who were competitive and comprehensive and no tracker needed.
