ive tried that with one of them conectors thats phono connectors tp 5 wires left +, left-, right+,right - and ground and all i get is a drone from the sub? its a vibe 1 channel amp so realy simple, what i did worked on my old x5 but i had to do it behind the headunit, this one tho has the nav screen?? im confuddled
are you sure that you spliced into the rear speakers? You should not use the front speaker outputs. Also that you definetly got the right and left all correct. You got the colours for the wires you used, may jog my memory.

And yes you can't do anything behind the nav screen because it's just a dumb screen all the brains is in the back.

That's them and you'll find them in the radio module under all the cr@p.

They will be 2 x 4 with two in the top and two the very bottom.

Don't forget your remote cable for the amp - violet with a white stripe.

And yes, you have no amp if 6 speakers (all in the RCM module)

External amp, in left cubby hole if you have 10 speaker setup (you'll have an extra speaker each side in the rear doors in the leather part plus the bigger ones lower down). No grilles in the leather parts otherwise, quickest way to tell.

Or you then have DSP with the OEM subs in the right cubby hole.

no need to splice under the spare although you can most folk tend to splice in the side compartment where the changer is stored you should see those wires in a loom below. Right pain as there twisted together.
