I never had the touch or the memory...

The Scosche is considered 'recommended' by the US market and mentioned a lot on the Intravention forum. And yes the Intravee will not charge the iPhone 4 or newest Touch devices. These plug-in one's help get over that issue.

As Pewters says, get the rear bench up (it will remain in place because the seatbelt's still bolted in). Follow the thick red battery cable in the rear near side passenger side, that where you can feed the KCA through and drop it into that foam area mentioned. You can unbolt the seat for more space or raise the centre console to get more space for you to get your hand under the carpet. Unclip the light holder for the rear passenger footwell and you can undo the bolts to release the carpet a bit more - don't forget it's looped under the rear seat area too. Get the door sill off to make life easier.

Centre console has 7 screws holding it in place. Get the 4 carpet pieces off either side (held on by poppers at the back and one screw under either front footwells). You'll see 2 screws either side under the carpet side-walls, one under the Hazard/Locking switch and two in the big cubbyhole tray (which just pulls out). Be careful pulling the console up. Only a bit is needed to get extra space. Otherwise you have to get the handbrake up high and some of the wire connectors off. That should help get that wire in there!!!

Just to add the inner door sill just pulls off.

Right, the postman has just delivered a nice box of toys, so once I get bored of pretending I'm working from home (be about lunchtime I reckon!) I shall go and launch my assault on the car. If I remember I'll try and take pictures as I go.

Well, that wasn't too bad, took me about 90 mins, alas no pictures.

I found that, by removing both rear footwell lights and rear sill trims, you can get the cable through to the centre console without having to unbolt the seat or the console itself. If you lift the rear carpet all the way across you can run the cable up the centre, approaching the centre console from the back (you'll find a couple of bundles of cable routing the same way), then if you pop off the rear edge of the passenger side centre console carpet trim and stick your fingers down into the void you'll be able to grab the cable. Bit fiddly, but it works, I did it by feeding a loop of cable through rather than the plug. I should probably point out that I'm 6'6" tall and 22stone, with appropriately large hands etc, but still managed it this way.

One thing to make sure of (which I learnt the hard way) is to ensure the wires for the rear footwell lights are fed back through the carpet BEFORE you put the seat base, sill trims etc back in place. D'oh.

EDIT: Forgot to say the Scosche charge adaptor works as advertised.

Someone sent me a PM asking if I could supply the file for them to update the intravee themselves. Sorry but I deleted the PM by mistake...

Can whoever you were drop me a PM again, the answers yes, no problem btw.

I've had others asking if I can do it for them - that's no problem as well. :)
