Yeah I was, I had a black TVR Tuscan S before the X5, and spent numerous hours researching and replacing most of the bulbs on my pre-facelift X5.

IT Barbie, keep us updated on the respray, quality and price. I too need a respray up front due to a bit of bubbling paintwork, I'm only in Purley and could do with a good bodyshop contact. As for servicing and general garage matters I would recommend Foxley motors, behind the Shell garage in Purley. I got my car back today from an oil service today, was charged £75 inc vat for the oil filter, replacing of the oil, brake fluid change and finding a coolent leak. I bought the oil and they used that.

I reversed into a post & caused a minor chip some time ago - I got a local repair done just on the corner albeit guy said if not okay it would need whole bumper doing. I have fussy eye & couldnt see the difference between old and new. Cost me £90 cash & that was with a decent prep, a little filler, fully masked & use of a dry bake oven. To be fair I know the guy who is very competent & always does me a good price.

Beware of a man in a van local speedy repairs as risk of poor prep, dust contamination etc.

I have seen not so good work from chipsaway so please bear that in mind !

Just an update I had the scrape repaired this morning. I did not have the whole bumper sprayed in the end. I was charged £80 and I must admit I think it looks quite good. He also went around the car and touched up a few scratches here and there that were more hairline scratches so I am really pleased

He's mobile but it was done at a local garage he frequents as he's semi retired.

Your happy that's the main thing hun.....when things go wrong with my car I always wanna sell it lol
